Personal Injury LawyerPaying an Injury Lawyer – ‘no win – no fee’

February 12, 2021

Our personal injury law firm provides our clients access to justice in many ways. One such example is providing ‘no win – no fee’ retainer agreements. These are also known as contingency fee retainer agreements. They are regulated by the Solicitors Act and provide our injured clients with access to Law Society of Ontario ‘certified specialist’ legal representation for their personal injury claims. We represent clients of all walks of life, and from our northern local communities in Barrie, Bradford, Newmarket, Orillia, Collingwood, Innisfil, and Midland, ON.

Many of our clients with motor vehicle accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip and falls, and pedestrian accidents cannot work after a serious injury. They cannot afford a traditional retainer whereby they pay a lawyer ongoing monthly fee’s for work to be complete. Our accident claim client base are offered ‘no win – no fee’ retainers. This option helps injury claim clients focus n their recovery and worry less about the new financial stress in their lives.

A ‘no win – no fee’ retainer is one where our clients do not pay us any upfront legal fee’s. Our fee is due only upon settlement of the claim. Our first goal is to advance the best interests of our clients, maintain good communication, and obtain the best settlement we can. We provide an open door experience with ongoing updates and transparency. Our clients appreciate the effort we take to keep them informed. We spend the time answering questions abut our retainer agreements, and provide clarity as to what they entail.

Many of our clients ask ‘how much will this cost’ at the outset. Our law firm pays for court filing fee’s, obtaining medical records, police reports, and other disbursements. Once the claim settles, these disbursements are recovered from the settlement without any additional fee or charge. We particularize our disbursements for our clients and provide them with a statement upon settlement. Our clients can see exactly where we incurred costs and why as part of the claim process.

On this basis, our clients are provided with proper legal representation, access to the courts, good communication and proper litigation plans, without up-front legal fees. These are the hallmarks of a good solicitor and client relationship. Trust and confidence that we have and advance your best interests. Whether your personal injury claim is a head injury, concussion, fracture, spine injury, depression/anxiety, nerve damage, chronic pain, broken bones, and/or brain injury, we provide competent legal advice on a ‘no win – no fee’ retainer agreement.

Our ‘no win- no fee’ retainer agreements are provided during our free consultations with personal injury claim clients. We provide telephone, e-mail, and virtual meetings due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. We invite prospective clients to call or e-mail us and book a consultation to learn more about how we can help them and their injury claims. We serve our local communities in Barrie, Bradford, Newmarket, Orillia, Collingwood, Innisfil, and Midland, ON.

Each personal injury claim is different, just like the clients we serve. The costs and disbursements to maintain any given personal injury claim will equally differ. As each claim unfolds through the litigation process, our clients are kept in the loop on costs and disbursements so they know what to expect.
