“The measure of damages is not in what has been taken from a person, but rather in what remains.”
Moe Levine
Marc was born in Midland, Ontario where he attended Huron Park Public School. He moved to Barrie with his family, where he attended Innisdale Secondary School. As a youth he played sports in Simcoe County including Barrie, Midland, Orillia, Collingwood, Newmarket, Aurora and York Region, as well as provincially, nationally, and internationally. He has worked all over the world, including stops in Asia, Africa, and Europe. Most interestingly, Marc has worked for a King and five Princes in his life.
Marc’s practice focuses on representing seriously injured people, long term disability claims, and employment law matters in the case of wrongful termination and without cause dismissals. In an age where Governments at all levels have stacked the deck in favour of insurance companies, large companies, and themselves, the person representing you matters greatly. If you find yourself in the position of having been injured by the negligence of somebody else, or being mistreated by your employer, we can review your case and provide you an opinion on your options. Lemieux Litigation also undertakes general civil litigation matters, if your matter is important and you require representation, allow us to review the matter with you to devise a plan of attack. In reviewing your matter, we will also bring to your attention the things to be aware of in retaining a lawyer, how they bill you, and what they don’t tell you about how they bill you.
Marc has represented people from all walks of life and approaches each person’s claim specific to their circumstances, he has represented people with the smallest of claims up to and including large complex poly-trauma cases involving the most severe types of injuries. Marc represents clients from Barrie, Midland, Orillia, Collingwood, Newmarket, west to Creemore, Shelburne, and Orangeville, north to Bracebridge and Gravenhurst, and south to North York, Toronto, and Brampton, and all the places in between.
Marc has represented many employees of Honda Manufacturing in Alliston, in cases of wrongful termination, including pension loss, long-term disability claims, and injuries sustained in Motor Vehicle Accidents.
Marc has considerable experience as a trial lawyer and in other tribunal and courtroom hearings, he is a seasoned litigator with an ability to see a client’s matter through to conclusion whether that be by settlement or trial decision.
In his spare time Marc enjoys golf, working around his house, and travelling.
Marc attended Georgian College in Barrie where he earned a 3-Year Diploma in Business Administration, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Management, and then attended the University of Windsor where he obtained his law degree. Marc is Certified by the Law Society of Ontario as a Specialist in Civil Litigation.
